The search for simplicity

Over the years, Ciel et Vert has worked with several brands, including Solis, Soluna, Huawei, APS and Fronius. Each brand has its strengths and its limitations. 

In a recent project, shading from nearby trees made optimizers essential to maintain system efficiency. 

A recurring frustration with other brands were the Wi-Fi sticks that needed to be reconnected every time a customer changed their internet router. A time-consuming job that couldn’t be billed.

Discovering Taylor 

Through distributor Enecsol, Ciel et Vert came into contact with Taylor. The direct communication, fast response and the ability to speak French immediately created confidence. 

Installation went smoothly. The through-meter without clamps took some getting used to, as it sometimes requires a small adjustment in the electrical cabinet, but overall the system proved logical and easy to work with. 

Dhennin now uses both string and micro inverters from Taylor, depending on the project. 

What appeals to him most is the way Taylor combines technology with practicality. The products are designed from the installer’s perspective. Easy to connect, simple to monitor and supported by clear documentation. This helps him work faster and reduces after-sales visits.

First experiences in practice 

The project in northern France was Ciel et Vert’s first installation with Taylor. The homeowner was enthusiastic about the system and the app’s insights into energy use. At first, he noticed peaks in the graph that later turned out to come from everyday appliances such as the water heater and freezer,showing how the app helps users better understand their energy consumption. 

For Dhennin, the project confirmed that Taylor systems are reliable and transparent. He also noticed a difference in service and logistics: questions are answered quickly, and components are readily available through his distributor. 

“When I call, I can immediately speak to someone who knows what they’re talking about and in my own language. That makes all the difference.”
