Working together, grounded in real-world experience.

For more than ten years, SolEnergy has been delivering sustainable energy systems for residential and commercial customers. Increasingly, these projects involve roofs that require a more flexible approach. According to Raïm Schlarmann, that is where the biggest challenge lies. “The straightforward roofs have often already been done. What remains are projects where you need freedom in the design and a system that can adapt to the conditions on the roof.”

Greater design freedom on complex roofs

With many solar systems, string layouts determine how effectively a roof can be used. This limits design freedom, particularly on roofs with shading, gables or offset roof sections.

SolEnergy’s experience with Taylor is different. Because the system optimizes at panel level, panels can be positioned where they make most sense for the roof, without having to design around string layouts.

“You can make better use of shaded areas and really maximize the available roof space. I haven’t seen this level of design freedom elsewhere in the market.”

This makes the design process more straightforward while giving end users greater value and clearer insight into their system.

Solving practical challenges together

One of the things SolEnergy values about working with Taylor is the way practical questions are addressed together.

When SolEnergy became one of the first installers to place an inverter outdoors, a question arose around the Taylor Gateway: there was no available power socket and the Gateway would be exposed to the elements. Taylor worked with SolEnergy on a permanent solution, including a waterproof enclosure and options for connecting the Gateway directly to the inverter.

“You have direct contact with support or with Rein, one of the co-founders. Feedback is acted on and translated into practical solutions.”

Suitable for small commercial projects

SolEnergy uses Taylor for projects where design freedom, system visibility and future expansion matter. These range from residential installations to smaller commercial projects.

At Sporting Andijk, SolEnergy installed 120 Taylor panels across two grid connections serving the sports field lighting and clubhouse. The system is prepared for battery storage, helping to manage peak loads while making future expansion straightforward.

Confidence built through experience

In practice, SolEnergy particularly values the design flexibility, straightforward installation and direct communication. Complex roofs can be used more effectively, while customers gain clear insight into how their system is performing.

“It feels like you’re working on it together. That applies to support as well as product development. It gives us confidence in the system today and in where it is heading.”
