Job description

As a Technical Support Engineer at taylor, you will be jointly responsible for handling technical customer inquiries and setting up a support department within a fast-growing high-tech company. You will act as the first point of contact for installers who work with taylor solar systems.

Initially, your focus will be on guiding installations, answering technical questions, and resolving technical issues. In addition, you will proactively contribute ideas on improving both our service and product over the long term. You will work closely with the development team to translate customer needs into product requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Answering technical and product-related questions

• Troubleshooting issues with installed taylor systems (on-site if necessary)

• Logging and following up on technical issues

• Translating operational product improvements into requirements for the development team

• Setting up and overseeing logistics around service issues

• Handling RMA and spare parts shipments

• Managing related logistics and financial administration

• Developing and implementing process improvements within customer support

• Tracking and managing incoming communications (phone, email, chat)

• Providing technical training to installers and distribution partners

Requirements

• Strong administrative and organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills: positive, friendly, and approachable

• Bachelor-level education (or equivalent) with a technical background

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility

• Background in electrical engineering

• Experience in the solar industry is a strong plus

• Fluent in Dutch and English (additional languages are an advantage)
